FAQ'S

  • When can my puppy come home?
Your puppy will be ready to go home at eight weeks old.
  • Do you offer limited or full AKC registration?
We offer limited AKC registrations on our puppies. Your puppy will be eligible to participate in all AKC events but should not be bred and no puppies would be eligible for AKC registration. A pledge to spay/neuter your pup is required in our contract.
  • How much does a puppy cost?
$2,500. We uphold the highest breeding ethics and believe you get what you pay for. Our dogs are not tucked away in a kennel, but live in our home right beside us. We begin sensory training at three days old and our puppies are well-socialized before they go to their new homes. Our, veterinarian will come to our home to ensure your puppy is healthy and will be microchipped before going to their forever home. This allows us to ensure that they have the best care possible without picking up some of the dangerous germs that can lurk around a vet's office. Your puppy also goes home with a new puppy kit from us! We pride ourselves in ensuring we breed for the future betterment of the Labrador Retriever and we value quality over quantity. Our puppies have incredible pedigrees and temperaments and we stand behind our puppies by providing a comprehensive health guarantee to our buyers.
  • How much does it cost to reserve a puppy?
We require a non-refundable $500 deposit to reserve a puppy. We do allow for a one-time transfer to a future litter at buyer's request. In the event we do not have enough puppies to fulfill our contract your deposit is fully refundable or transferable to a future litter.
  • How do I reserve a puppy?
The first step in the reservation process is to complete and return our puppy questionnaire. Once you send the completed application back we will review your form and contact you with more information. If you are approved to reserve a puppy a $500 puppy deposit is required to officially go on our reservation list.
  • I am considering purchasing a puppy. Can I visit?
First, good job on wanting to vet your breeder! However, for the health and well-being of our dogs and puppies, we do not allow any visitors who have not purchased a puppy. Puppies are very susceptible to parvovirus, a deadly disease that can spread rapidly. Parvovirus can live up to a year outside of a host and is easily tracked into homes via the shoes, clothes, and unwashed hands of people who have been in contact with unvaccinated or affected dogs. Breeders have lost entire litters this way. You can read more information here and here. For those who have purchased a puppy, and are awaiting take-home day, we do allow visitation! We will provide two visitation opportunities and tons of pictures! We are also happy to schedule a FaceTime call to show you around and so that you can "meet" our girls.
  • What is the "Socialization Checklist?"
We know the best dogs are the ones who have safely been exposed to as many things as possible! This includes people, items, and textures. Before going to their new homes our puppies will be exposed to the following: Surfaces: grass, concrete, asphalt, pavers, tile, carpet, rocks, mulch. People: seniors, adults, teenagers, older children, and smaller children (male and female for each age group). Items: loud lawn equipment, vacuum, bicycles, hats, sunglasses, hoodies, cap gun (for those wishing to use their dog for retrieving), parked cars, car rides, leashes, collars, wheelchairs, canes. Animals: older female dogs (not their mother) and chickens.
  • What is Biosensory Training?
Biosensory training, or early neurological stimulation, is the process of socializing your puppy during the first three critical weeks of life. Using different sensory techniques your puppy will be exposed to touch, sound, and various types of stimulus to give your puppy the best start at life. Developed by the United States Military, it has been scientifically proven to produce dogs with better temperaments. You can learn more about what we do, and why we do it, here.
  • Where are you located?
We are in sunny St. Augustine, Florida!
  • Can I purchase two puppies together?
We agree that puppies are just the best! But to ensure that we give our puppies the best chance in life we do not allow two puppies from the same litter be adopted together. Sometimes pups who are adopted together may end up with behavioral issues due to littermate syndrome. Learn more about littermate syndrome here.
  • How about training?
We can provide additional training for puppies until 12 weeks of age. This includes basic commands such as sit, down, stay, early potty training and crate training. Please know that this is only an introduction and foundation for learning with your pup. Training is only available to the puppies we breed and they will remain in our home until they complete their work. You are welcome to schedule a visit with us to see your puppy during this time. To ensure the best possible results we only allow two puppies at time to stay for additional training. Your puppy will continue to live in our home and be treated like part of the family. The four week training session is $1500 and subject to price changes.
