GIVING BACK

To veterans, children, and those in need of a service dog.

Did you know the average cost for a family to purchase and train a service dog can exceed $40,000? This makes a service dog out of reach for many who need it most.

Our goal is to provide at least one puppy per year to a family or individual in need of a service dog at absolutely no cost.

Meet Jaxon

Meet Jaxon

Jaxon is a happy-go-lucky, baseball-loving little boy with a hidden superpower- Type 1 Diabetes. Jaxon's blood sugar is hard to regulate and he has been waiting over two years for a diabetic service dog. He is scheduled to receive our first service dog in Winter 2024.

The costs required for medication and treatment for juvenile diabetes adds up quickly so we are so excited to provide Jaxon with his service dog at absolutely no cost. His parents are currently fundraising to send his puppy for service dog training.

Meet Jack

Meet Jack

Jack is a vivacious little boy who was recently diagnosed with autism. Jack's parents are dedicated to helping him reach his full potential. Jack's doctor approached his parents about the benefits a service dog could provide him and they immediately reached out to Salt Run Retrievers. He is scheduled to receive his puppy, at absolutely no charge, in Fall of 2025.
